WORK

With a practice that encompasses drawing, photography, sculpture and installation, Amaya explores the notions of subjectivity and the self. The artist's formative years in northern Mexico influence her work profoundly, being this totally personal and quietly political.

At the heart of Amaya's practice is a deep concern for the process and materials, with each series looking for a formal solution. Inspired by minimalism, she explores topics related to the body, language, time, violence and landscape.
